A Tampa native Nick graduated from Hillsborough High School where he is a member of the Hillsborough High School Hall of Fame.
At the University of Florida, Nick lettered in football, and had the privilege of not only playing in; but winning the Gator Bowl.
Completing law school in only 2 years, Nick graduated 6th in his class at the Houston College of Law, earning such distinctive honors as Law Review, Order of the Lyte, the EE Towns Award, and the American Jurisprudence Award in Torts. He was selected to be a member of the honors organization Phi Alpha Delta and was named to the Deans Honor List both years.
Nick began his career at the State’s Attorney Office where he served in Juvenile, Misdemeanors, Felony, and Major Crimes divisions before becoming Felony Bureau Chief responsible for five felony divisions.
His experience as a prosecutor provided an excellent foundation for his transition into private practice as a criminal defense attorney. Nick has been involved in more than 100 jury trials, both as a prosecutor and a defense attorney, as well as representing clients in civil matters.
An experienced trial attorney, Nick has been involved in over 100 jury trials as a prosecutor, a defense attorney, as well as civil clients. Nick is one of only eleven trial attorneys in the 13th Judicial Circuit certified to try death penalty cases. Nick is admitted to the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the 11th and 5th Judicial Circuits, the Middle District of Florida, the Florida Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court.
Nick enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing a little golf, attending and watching sporting events, especially Gator football.
